JUNIOR ENGLISH:
AN INTRODUCTION

Our English courses for Kids and Teens

Whether your child is struggling with English at school, or is in need of some extra English polish to enter a top university, we are here to help.

• Regular courses are delivered in small group format (max 4 students)

• All lessons are one hour (60 minutes), and held once per week

• Good choice of courses and scheduling, allowing multiple course enrolment.

• To ensure learning at the most suitable level, students take a short assessment test before enrolling.

GENERAL ENGLISH COURSE

Our flagship, all-skills English course for juniors

Course Aim:  To build a solid foundation in English, and strengthen students' power of expression - both spoken and written.

Suitable for:  Students aged 5 and over.

​

Course Description:  This course develops all four language skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing in English. Vocabulary and grammar structures are taught and practised through a wide variety of fun, engaging and age/level-appropriate exercises and activities. 

WRITTEN ENGLISH SKILLS

For students who need to write more clearly and accurately.

Course Aim:  To help students excel in their English writing through thorough planning, clear organisation and structured presentation.

Suitable for:  Students aged (approx) 6 and over.

Course Description:  This course develops English writing skills across a range of different text types and a wide variety of topics.  Students are taught both the process of writing (how to plan, draft and check their work), as well as how to express their ideas creatively and clearly - with an emphasis on correct grammar and appropriate punctuation.

PHONICS, SPEAK & SPELL

An excellent course for younger students to build sound foundations in spelling and pronunciation.

Course Aim:  To develop younger students' reading comprehension, pronunciation, spelling and writing skills.

Suitable for:  Students aged approx. 3 - 8 (K1-P2)

Course Description:  At its different levels, this popular course teaches students all 42 sounds of English.  And through a range of fun, multi-sensory activities, students will learn how to correctly read aloud written words (eye to tongue: pronunciation), as well as accurately transcribe the sounds they hear (ear to hand: spelling).  Students love the carefully selected phonic storybooks, which form the basis of much of the class writing activities.
