for both Cantonese-speakers and non-native learners

For adult, Cantonese-speaking learners of Putonghua we offer two courses: firstly, a general Putonghua skills course, Xue Hao Putonghua; and secondly, for those students who need a benchmark qualification, we highly recommend our Chinese Exam Preparation course, which will get you match-fit for any formal Putonghua test such as the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi. for Cantonese-speaking students 

Course Aim:  To improve the ability to use PTH in daily communication, work and social situations and achieve a fluent conversation level.

​

Suitable for:  Adults aged 18 and above (Cantonese native speakers)

​

Course Description:  Master standard Mandarin pronunciation and intonation, and eliminate the influence of Cantonese accent. The interactive teaching method focuses on Chinese pinyin and tone correction, combines it with situational dialogues to expand vocabulary, train long sentence expression and logical connection, and learn PTH expressions. Strengthen listening and immediate response capabilities through integration of practical scenarios. Compare the differences in Cantonese and PTH grammar to avoid common expression errors.

For students aiming for Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) 

Course Aim:  Accurately break through the exam key points and help students achieve good score

Suitable for:  teachers, civil servants, service industry personnel etc.

Course Description:  Based on the syllabus of the Putonghua Proficiency Test (PSC), this course strengthens the four major question types: monosyllabic characters pronunciation, multi-syllable words, deacon and propositional speaking. Correct common pronunciation problems and improve test-taking skills. Summarize common mistakes and design special tongue twisters and listening comprehension exercises. Take a full-length mock test, which will be graded by experienced PSC examiners and analyze your weaknesses item by item.

Putonghua and Cantonese Courses for non-Native Speakers

Course Aim:  To achieve oral fluency in spoken Putonghua / Cantonese

Suitable for:  Non-native, adult students (18+) of all levels, Beginner to Advanced

Course Description:  Both the Putonghua and Cantonese streams adopt a similar methodology, and the approach is very communicative.  At the Beginner and Elementary levels, the emphasis is on equipping students with basic vocabulary, and the ability to understand and respond to native speakers in a variety of everyday situations.  Intermediate and advanced learners will further develop oral fluency through continued vocabulary building and the introduction and exploration of more abstract topics and ideas.
